Iftar

The breaking of the fast every evening after sunset during Ramadan. Also, the breaking of the fast of Ramadan on the first sighting of the new moon on the evening of Id al-Fitr. According to the example of the Prophet Muhammad , the fast should be broken by eating dates or salt.
