    Fruit of Islam

    Elite male group of adherents of the Nation of Islam who provide security for Nation of Islam leaders and enforce disciplinary rules. Dismantled by Warith Deen Muhammad in 1975 after he assumed leadership of the Nation of Islam and reformed it to adhere more closely to mainstream Sunni Islam. Re-created by Louis Farrakhan .
