5.4 Biography Search

The Biography Search is accessible via the Search tab in the Navigation bar. The variety of search options offer criteria to locate biographies for a variety of individuals included within this site.

The fields that can be searched include:

Name (full name or any part of name)
First Name
Last name
Birth Date (exact or range)
Birth Place
Death Date (exact or range)
Death Place
Country of Activity
Sex
Activity/Profession
Movements/Schools
Branch of Islam
Region of Activity
Full Text
Era
Topic
Include archived articles from Oxford Encyclopedia of the Modern Islamic World

Note: Years used in the search forms refer to western calendar dates.
